Background

Since the manufacture of our first stainless steel braai grid in 1993, Pure Steel Products (PTY) LTD has gone from strength to strength in the stainless steel wire products market. Our product range covers over one hundred standard products for domestic applications as well as specialized products for the industrial sector. Our main categories of products are Bathroom Accessories, Kitchen Accessories, Wine and Bar Accessories, Household Accessories and Braai & Grid Accessories.

Due to PSP's manufacturing flexibility and the demand for a "lasting" household product, more and more products were manufactured to suit our customer's needs. These products soon became a quality household name with the everlasting characteristics associated with Stainless Steel. Out product range are continually updated with new products to maintain a "fresh" outlook on the market. No stainless steel product will be complete unless it has been polished to a high gloss. For this purpose PSP installed its own electropolishing plant in 1997. Not only do we polish our own products, but also those of the local stainless steel manufacturing industry leading to the optimum utilization of our Electropolishing plant.

Markets

Our products are distributed and sold nation wide in South Africa to the middle and upper class household market with exports on the steady rise. On the industrial side we also compete with products such as cable trays, machine guards, washing plant baskets, etc.
In the field of Exports, products such as braai grids, kitchen accessories and sink baskets have already been exported to the USA, Australia and Europe.

Product Development

Pure Steel Products has been very successful in designing and manufacturing a multitude of products, suited for domestic use, out of a single material and form i.e. Stainless Steel wire. Some of our products are not entirely unique, but the mere fact that it's made out of Stainless Steel has proven its superiority over any other similar product. It is no wonder that we have a huge advantage over our counterparts and it is for this reason that we are able to obtain export contracts to countries such as Australia and Europe.
